SVJETLANA BUKVICH & GENE PRITSKER at Silvana Harlem
Composers Concordance presents an evening of cutting‑edge sound as Svjetlana Bukvich and Gene Pritsker join forces for a duo performance at Harlem’s intimate venue Silvana. The concert spans an expansive sonic landscape, featuring electric guitar, synthesizer, and pre‑recorded electronics woven through both composed and improvised material. With special guests composer‑vocalist Milica Paranosic and poet Peter Christian Hall, this event promises an adventurous night of sound and poetry that pushes boundaries and reimagines live performance.

The explosively musical violinist Lavinia Pavlish plays one of Svjetlana Bukvich‘s early signature pieces BEFORE AND AFTER THE TEKKE for violin and electronic sound with much sensitivity and grace. Join Carolyn Dorfman Dance in an intimate evening of dance and dialogue at Paul Taylor East studios on Nov 14-15, 2025. The showcase will include the prologue to the new work THE HERO WITHIN — THE STORY OF MAX HELLER, MARY MILLS AND MIRACLES with commissioned score by Svjetlana Bukvich. Also on the program are Divide and Conquer, with commissioned score by Joel Diamond as well as Echad (One) with commissioned score by Greg Wall. Rounding out the performance will be Keystone (featured photo), with music by Rufus Wainwright (Leonard Cohen), Louis Armstrong and Jamie Randolph.

The Legacy Project: THE HERO WITHIN — THE STORY OF MAX HELLER, MARY MILLS AND MIRACLES at Furman University
Carolyn Dorfman Dance commissions Svjetlana Bukvich to compose an electroacoustic score for the company’s new major work about the life and legacy of Max Heller, the diverse group of Americans that saved his life, and the city that he ultimately transformed for the benefit of all. “In the deep south, in one of the reddest cities in one of the reddest states in our beloved land, there is a statue in the town square honoring a man who is both an immigrant and a Jew.” – Rabbi Wesley R. Gardenswartz, Temple Emanuel, Newton MA. The work is supported through The Blanche & Irving Laurie Foundation.

ELLIPSE with ETHEL in Tribeca
Composers Concordance presents the renowned quartet ETHEL on a program of new music including several premieres. Svjetlana Bukvich‘s ELLIPSE for string quartet and electronic sound will receive its NY premiere at this concert, featuring Ralph Farris on viola, Kip Jones on violin, Dorothy Lawson on cello, Corin Lee on violin, and Svjetlana Bukvich on MicroFreak synthesizer.
Also on the program are works by composers Lynn Bechtold, Dan Cooper, Sophie Dunér, Lee McClure, Alon Nechushtan, Gene Pritsker, and David Soldier. The concert will be live-streamed on Composers Concordance’s Facebook Page

In celebration of George Gershwin’s 1924 masterpiece, Composers Concordance presented an evening of new music inspired by his life and music. Svjetlana Bukvich‘s LUCID ITERATIONS 3 for clarinet and electronic sound received its world premiere at this concert, featuring clarinetist Michiyo Suzuki.
Also on the program are works by composers Dennis Brandner, Anthony Branker, Dan Cooper, Franz Hackl, George Gershwin, Matt Herskowitz, Jai Jeffryes, Ginka Mizuki, Alon Nechushtan, Gene Pritsker, Dave Soldier, and Ann Warren.

The American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers (ASCAP) – Concert Music Division – has selected Svjetlana Bukvich as one of the ASCAP Plus Award recipients given for the year of 2025.
These awards are given to “…writer members… whose works were performed in unsurveyed media as well as writer members whose catalogs have prestige value.”
